Don't panic, and listen to Dannic -the phrase all of Dannic's fans have been tweeting and repeating over the past year. 2013 has been extremely busy for Daan Romers, between touring with his best friend Hardwell, and labelmate Dyro, releasing several huge chart-topping tracks, and playing all over the world, he has managed to build a big fan base - he just reached over 100,000 likes on Facebook!

And he's not stopping there. With a remix up his sleeve, a new weekly radio show he just started, and plenty more tour dates ahead, the future looks very bright.

If you want to get to know him better, as a thank you to his fans, he put together a video showing where he comes from.

We got to catch up with Dannic at Electric Zoo in New York City after he played his set on one of the main stages. He talked to us about his summer highlights, his new top ten track "Rocker," his new remix for The Wanted, and more. Check it out below:

How has your summer of touring been? What has been the highlight?

It’s crazy! I mean, I’ve been playing like every day almost, but it’s really cool. It’s going so fast right now and I’m playing at really cool stages and clubs and venues and I’m just really happy about it.

I [have] a lot of highlights. But for me, the tour with Dyro I did, we did [a] North American tour and in Montreal in Canada at New City Gas was one of the big highlights, as well as playing in Ibiza! Ibiza is a special island and it’s good to play for them [Ibiza].  Every time [there are] a lot of different people and that’s [what is] so cool about it.

Now that you’re in America, what do you love the most about playing here?

Really, the energy.  It gives me a lot of inspiration, and a lot of energy when we’re touring.  I mean, it’s crazy.  If you, if you play a song, they just … they’re so hyped for it and it’s different when you play in Europe.  It’s, I don’t know.  I guess they’re a little bit spoiled.

What is it like touring with Hardwell and Dyro? What kind of antics do you guys get into?

A lot of trouble, of course!  Well, the funny thing is Robert is one of my best friends, Hardwell. He was always saying, “You should come.”  I had this normal day job.  And he was like, “No, quit your job and go on and, come tour with me and whatever.”  Now, it’s like a dream come true.  We’re touring together and doing the best shows and having the most fun time ever!

And Rocker is that on Beatport now?

Yeah, it’s doing really well.  It’s [been] in the top 10 for a week now. Yeah, I’m really happy with it. I had the melody in my head and I recorded it on my iPhone, and then I did it on my laptop, and I finished it at home in my studio! But I think it came out pretty good.  It’s,what I emphasize with my sound, and I think it’s a different track.  It’s cool!

You just started radio show, right?

Yeah, Front of House Radio.  It’s a monthly show, [I'm] doing it every Tuesday, every first Tuesday of the month, The name, that was really difficult to [think of], to get a good name. But, yeah, I’m really happy with it.

The first episode has a lot of different music in there, even songs that played on the radio everyday. So what artist do you listen to outside of dance music?

Marvin Gay.  I like Motown music.  I love soul music.  I listen to all kinds of stuff.  I don’t wanna listen only to dance music because otherwise you get like, I don’t know. Think outside the box!

Tell us about your remix for The Wanted?

Yeah, that was a different story.  It’s like a down tempo song and at first I didn’t really know what to do with it, to be honest. Because it’s really commercial, it’s pop music, it’s different. But then, yeah, I arranged some new chords around it.

Are you the Wanted guy or are you more One Direction?

Well I like both!  They [have] good songs so.

Since we’re at Electric Zoo, if you were an animal, what animal would you be?

A tiger. I like crawling, climbing, running, whatever [laughs], do crazy stuff.
