Uhh...why?
The MTV Movie Awards have been a thing for 25 years. Granted, it hasn't been as good as it was in it's earlier years.
In regards to the addition of television to the awards, president of MTV Chris McCarthy says the new format, "will celebrate even more of the brightest, bravest, funniest and most shared films and TV shows resonating across youth culture."
The new revamped show will air May 7th on MTV.
Ok...let's see if this fixes ratings or not.
