AMC will air a new Walking Dead spinoff in 2020! The details are scarce, but we know that 10 episodes have already been ordered with production starting this summer.
AMC is rather tight-lipped about the project thus far, but did provide a brief synopsis of what the series will look like, and it will "feature two young female protagonists and focus on the first generation to come-of-age in the apocalypse as we know it. Some will become heroes. Some will become villains. In the end, all of them will be changed forever. Grown-up and cemented in their identities, both good and bad."
And while the Walking Dead seemingly starts off at the beginning of the apocalypse, the new series will take place down the line, after the zombies have already taken over humanity. No clue if there will be any characters from Fear or Walking Dead, but filming will take place in Virginia (which is where the main series now takes place).
