Brad Paisley Kicks Off Drive-In Concert Series In St. Louis

Brad Paisley launched last night's drive-in concert series with a bang.

On Friday night (July 10), the Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre was packed as hundreds of fans gathered in St. Louis, Missouri, to watch the country legend perform some of his greatest hits during the outdoor experience. What’s more, the 47-year-old crooner not only performed a number of his own songs but also treated fans to a special surprise when he brought on fellow country superstar Carrie Underwood for a virtual duet.

Live Nation kicked off the drive-in concerts in response to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, allowing concertgoers to watch their favorite musicians perform while practicing social distancing. Attendees will have their own private “tailgating zones” by their car and are also allowed to bring their own food and drinks as well as use their mobile phones and QR codes to order food and beverages in case they forget to bring their own.

Paisley was one of three acts scheduled to play at the venue this weekend along with El Monstero performing Saturday (July 11) and St. Louis-bred rapper Nelly playing Sunday (July 12).

Hours after the event ended, Paisley thanked fans for the amazing turnout with an image of the packed parking lot. “Thank you St Louis for this incredible night,” he wrote on Instagram. “It’s not lost on us how big a blessing it is to play music in these times. You were amazing.”
