Selena Gomez dropped a music video for her new single "Boyfriend" on Friday, and it gives me major The Weeknd vibes. The video is super similar to his "Heartless" music video. They have the same red and black color scheme, they both ride in classic convertibles, and they both feature toads, which, in my opinion, seems too specific to be a coincidence. On her Instagram, Selena said that her new song is about "falling down and getting back up time and time again in love, but also knowing that you don't need anyone other than yourself to be happy". Is Selena throwing some shade at her ex with the video, or is she just a fan of his aesthetic? You be the judge.
