Percy Jackson author Rick Riordan confirmed on Twitter that a Percy Jackson television adaptation is officially in the works at Disney+! In case you are unfamiliar, Percy Jackson is a bestselling series of books that has inspired multiple spin-offs, a short-lived movie series, and a musical, but never a TV series until now. In his tweet, Riordan says that his fans have campaigned for a faithful adaptation of his series for years and, essentially, their prayers have been answered. He also says that season one will tell the story of the first book in the series, The Lightning Thief, and that he will be involved every step of the way. See his tweet below:
