We might have missed out on Picklesburgh this year, but if the excitement surrounding the return of Primanti’s pickle-inspired beer is any indication, pickles still reign supreme here in Pittsburgh. Starting tomorrow TODAY, on August 19, Primanti Brothers and East End Brewing are bringing back one of the city’s first pickle-inspired beers, their Almost Famous Pickle Beer, but this time around, they’ve added a twist on their bestselling recipe. This year’s Almost Famous Pickle Beer includes black peppercorn, making the beer a “cucumber peppercorn gose ale”.

East End Brewing brewed the most recent batch of Almost Famous Pickle Beer with almost 600 pounds of cucumbers, coriander, sea salt, fresh dill, and now, black peppercorn. With a 4.1% ABV, the unique beer sold out within 48 hours of its debut last year. Almost Famous Pickle Beer will be available at select Primanti Brothers in the Pittsburgh area and East End Brewing in 6-ounce cans and 4-packs to-go while supplies last. Whether it’s one of your favorites or you haven’t tried it yet, check it out!
