Looking for a cool way to get outside this fall? Check out the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy's new weekend backpack lending program. For only $10 per backpack, you can choose one of four themed backpacks that help you learn about nature in different ways. The Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy offers a meadow backpack, a forest backpack, a stream backpack, and a health backpack. All they ask is you reserve the backpack by the Friday before the reservation date at 3PM and return them to the open-air gatehouse at the Frick Environmental Center by 5PM on Sunday.

Check out the backpack lending program here.

If you want to read more about the program, the Pittsburgh City Paper wrote a fantastic article about it that you can find here.

Happy camping, and maybe I'll see you on the trails!
