Netflix Releases Juicy First Trailer for Shondaland's 'Bridgerton'

'Bridgerton', Shonda Rhimes' Old-Fashioned take on 'Gossip Girl', debuts on Netflix on December 25th.

Brace yourselves for more scandals and secrets, because the queen of drama, Shonda Rhimes, is back. Today, on November 2nd, Netflix released the first trailer for their first-ever Shondaland show, Bridgerton. Bridgerton, which seems like Pride and Prejudice meets Gossip Girl, follows a young woman's scandalous rise in society in Regency Era England as told by Lady Whistledown, a mysterious writer who is always down to serve some piping hot tea. Bridgerton, which is based on The Duke and I series, features Julie Andrews as Lady Whistledown, Derry Girls' Nicola Coughlan, and newcomer Phoebe Dynevor. Watch the trailer:
