Shopping local can be tricky through the holiday season, but the neighborhood of Bloomfield wants to thank you for doing so. Now through Saturday, December 20, you can win a gift card to one of Bloomfield or Garfield's local businesses by sending your receipts to the Bloomfield Development Corporation (BDC). Whether you're out shopping for Christmas presents or groceries, send your receipts to business@bloomfieldpgh.com. For every three you send, you will be entered to win a gift card. According to their Insta, they are giving out $1,000 worth in gift cards, and the minimum on these gift cards is $50. Check it out:
On a personal note, I live right on the border of Lawrenceville and Bloomfield, and I love wandering around on Penn and Liberty. Bloomfield has such a vibrant community of local businesses, so please consider taking a ten-minute break from Amazon and shopping from them. Supporting local businesses is so important, especially this time of year, and you'll be glad you did.
