I wasn't Prepared for Demi Lovato's Youtube Docuseries Trailer

Back in 2018, I remember hearing the news about Demi Lovato overdosing. This was so surprising, eye-opening, and unbelievably upsetting. I remember thinking to myself... How could this happen to Demi? Demi, who played 'Mitchie' in "Camp Rock" and 'Sonny' in "Sonny with a Chance". Demi, who has countless powerful hits that I swear, sow confidence into you just by listening. But, it did. Anyone that has dealt with addiction knows that addiction doesn't care who you are, how talented you are, or how much money you have.

Later on in the day, it was reported she was "awake and responsive". Although that was a huge relief, out of respect for privacy the world didn't know much more than that. It's been a little over 2 years since then and we've seen Demi Lovato step back into the spotlight. She's decided to do something unbelievably brave; share her story.

In a four-part documentary event, Demi Lovato shares her intimate and personal addiction journey. Just a warning, this can really hit home for anyone that has dealt with or has had a friend/ family member struggle with addiction. Here's the trailer:

In Demi's Instagram post sharing the trailer to "Dancing with the Devil," Demi says "I've been holding #DemiDWTD incredibly close to my heart, and now it's time to share an inside look. This is only a short preview of what is to come..."

If you or someone you know is struggling with addiction, please contact the SAMHSA substance abuse helpline at 1-800-662-HELP.

Demi Lovato is coming back in full force. A potential new album, she's executive producer and the star of a new NBC comedy series called "Hungry" and other great collaborations like this new song we are playing on 96.1 Kiss at the moment.

P.S. I listened to this station while writing this!
