Tanya: I Suffer From ‘Imposter Syndrome’ and I Finally Had a Breakthrough

Those of you that listen to my podcast or the morning show know I suffer from imposter syndrome. The short definition of imposter syndrome is not feeling like you deserve the success/position you have.

I have always felt like I don’t deserve the incredible opportunities I’ve been given and sometimes it can really be debilitating.

This past Sunday at the 2019 People’s Choice Awards, I finally had an epiphany moment: I was hosting a pre-show for a network that has loved/supported/encouraged me from day 1 (I love you E!) and I was doing it for an award show that I was nominated in for a podcast I get to do with my BEST FRIEND!

Our podcast, Scrubbing In With Becca Tilley and Tanya Rad, is 100% authentically me & Becca. It is us – our friendship, our lives, the good, the bad, and the ugly – it’s raw, its real, and the community we’ve built through it continues to blow my mind.

So, to say the least, Sunday was a BIG day.

I felt overwhelmed with gratitude, overwhelmed with emotion, and overwhelmed with happiness.

I verbally said out loud in my trailer: “TAKE THAT IMPOSTER SYNDROME!”

So I just wanted to write this for anyone out there that struggles with the same thing; Life moments like this happen & I will NEVER ever forget how I felt inside that day.
