Here's Why We DON'T Want Amazon HQ2 In Pittsburgh

Pittsburghers are tickled at the possibility that Amazon could open it's second North American headquarters here in our fair city. Before we open our legs to Amazon, maybe we should look at the repercussions of having such a massive company enter the market.

State and local governments offer large financial incentives to attract employers to their part of the country. John Oliver explains what communities get, or often don't get, in return.


Bottom line, cities are expected to offer "incentives" to get Amazon to go. More often than not, the cities, communities, and areas involved don't get much if anything in return. So do we really want Amazon here in Pittsburgh?
