The Pittsburgh Penguins have signed forward Patric Hornqvist to a five-year contract extension, it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Jim Rutherford.
The deal begins with the 2018-19 season and runs through the 2022-23 campaign, and it carries an average annual value of $5.3 million.
Hornqvist gives the Penguins seven players locked up through at least the 2021-22 season, joining Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, Phil Kessel, Kris Letang, Brian Dumoulin and Olli Maatta.
Stay Horny, my friends.
