Y U SO SCARY, NATURE? A 51 year old diver was swallowed head first by a whale while observing a sardine migration (allegedly the largest migration of animals in the southern hemisphere).
A group of divers were observing sharks feeding on the sardine school when one of them got swallowed by a Bryde's Whale.
Bryde’s Whales can weigh up to 90,000 pounds and grow up to 55-feet in length. Seems large enough to swallow a human being whole, but as we've been taught in science class, whales cannot swallow anything bigger than an apple. Good news for the diver.
The diver was taken under by the whale and then released a short time later. He was not injured, but scared for life I imagine. What a story!
