We've spent the last few decades killing the f**k out of our planet, so natural coral reefs are quickly dying off and not regenerating. But scientists have figured out that they can sink boats to create artificial reefs with a relatively high rate of success.

Over 200 local boaters showed up to watch the freighter be sunk and that led to some pretty badass footage. This boat was chosen after it came into the hands of US Customs And Border Protection. The boat was discovered to be smuggling drugs.
