Khalid took to the stage Sunday for A Night For Suncity and held at the Don Haskins Center in El Paso, Texas... nearly a month after the horrific shooting that left 22 dead, and a community broken into pieces. The event raised $500,000 for victims and their families.
Rae Sremmurd, SZAand Lil Yachty were among the special guests Sunday night for the show. Democratic presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke and actor Matthew McConaughey were on hand at the event, which raised funds to support the El Paso Shooting Victims’ Fund and the El Paso Community Foundation.
The event was jointly presented by Right Hand Foundation, the homelessness-prevention charity run Khalid's manager Courtney Stewart, and the 21-year-old artist's youth-focused The Great Khalid Foundation, which he started in May with his mother, Linda Wolfe, serving as president/chairman.
