Sophia Bush Screamed In Public When She Found Out About 'Incredibles 2'

If you're anyone who was old enough to remember when the original The Incredibles was released, then you know just how big of a deal it is that we're finally getting the sequel to the... incredible... movie that was released in 2004.

So, yeah, it's no wonder that Sophia Bush literally screamed out loud in a restaurant when she found out she was asked to be in Incredibles 2 (which comes out TODAY, like this is NOT a drill!!!!).

While talking with HelloGiggles, Sophia shared the story from when she found out about the moment, and what's even more amazing is that she never ever auditioned for the movie... they just reached out to her directly. And like, goals.

When talking about joining the Pixar family, she revealed that getting the call about Voyd was totally out of the blue:

This is the best thing ever. I am such a huge Pixar fan and The Incredibles has always been my favorite Pixar movie. To get this call, out of the blue, that they wanted me to be in the second one, was insane.

Then Sophia revealed how she literally made a scene when she heard about getting cast in the project:

I was in public and I opened [the e-mail] and screamed really loud. I still have the PDF of it in my phone. [It had] The Incredibles family at the bottom and [it was on] Pixar letterhead. It’s very official and sweet. I opened it and I screamed and an entire restaurant full of people turned and looked at me, which was mortifying, but just so exciting. Kind of an out of body experience. This is a big bucket list thing for me and it happened.

I mean, YEAH you would scream in the middle of a restaurant.

Sophia also shared why her character Voyd is so important to her (and to women everywhere!):

It’s so gratifying to watch a young woman learn how to step into her power, because she’s nervous in the beginning. By the end of the film she’s really figuring out what she’s capable of, and she’s doing it alongside Elastigirl, who’s been her inspiration her whole life, and that’s amazing.

And she also talked about when she had the realization that this character could become someone that little girls (or grown women like her bestie and former One Tree Hill co-star Hilarie Burton) will dress up as for Halloween:

I honestly will not be able to handle it. I will never recover. It’ll be great. I will be an emotional mess. It was actually really sweet. My girlfriend, Hilarie [Burton], texted me the day that we announced it and then she put it on Twitter because it was such a funny moment, but she was like, “Does this mean I get to dress up as you for Halloween?” I was like, “Oh my God.” I hadn’t even thought of it yet.
