'Harry Potter' Movies Will Return To The Big Screen For 20th Anniversary

You might want to sit down for this one...

VERY exciting news was just announced for all of you Harry Potter fans out there: all nine of the "Wizarding World" movies will be returning to the big screen in celebration of the first book's 20th anniversary!

Yes, I know some of you major fans are thinking, "no, it was originally released as Harry Potter & The Philosopher's Stone in the UK in 1997" - and you would be correct! But then it was repackaged, (and renamed) and released a year later to a larger audience in the United States.

And September 1, 1998 was the official release of the first Harry Potter book in the US.

And now, to celebrate 20 years of Harry Potter's influence in the US, Warner Brothers is bringing the first movie back to Cinemark theaters for a limited time.

If you want to join in on the Harry Potter fun, make sure you look for show times for each of the Harry Potter movies and Fantastic Beasts between August 31st and September 6th of this year!

As many of you may recall, September 1 is also a big day in the Wizarding World, as it is "Back To Hogwarts" Day, when all the students return to Platform 9 3/4 to head back to Hogwarts for the new school year, so if you want to celebrate both the 20th anniversary of the first book and #BackToHogwarts day, you can do so in the theater this year with a full Harry Potter marathon.

It's hard to believe we've known Harry, Hermione and Ron for 20 years now! I remember teachers in elementary school reading the books out loud to the class... And the first movie was released to theaters three years after the books came to the US, on November 14th, 2001.
