Bagel Bites To Settle The 'Dogs Wearing Pants' Debate Once And For All

Target Pet Show Fall 2005 - Backstage

This age-old question really trips people up: if dogs wore pants, would they be worn on their back two legs or on the entire bottom half of their body, with FOUR leg holes in each pair of pants?

People have argued about this for years, and now pizza bagel brand Bagel Bites has decided to put the debate to rest for good.

Bagel Bites decided to launch a full-blown campaign in celebration of National Dog Week (which is this week Sept. 20-26!!) Their mission? Settle this argument by taking it to the world of Twitter, where people have strong opinions on ANYTHING and EVERYTHING.

A Twitter poll on the dog pant conundrum is now live on the Bagel Bites Twitter, and will be open for votes — for either four leg openings or two leg openings — through tomorrow, Sept 22.

Of course Bagel Bites is also going to release a literal pair of dog pants for purchase once the Twitter poll reveals the winner of the great dog pants debate. Once it is determined just how dogs wear pants, there will be a pair of Bagel Bites dog pants available and they're, of course, printed with photos of the delicious pizza bite snacks.

In my personal opinion, dogs definitely wear pants on just their back two legs. It's the most natural-looking pants option! The pants with four leg holes ends up needing extra straps to stay on the dog! And for that reason alone, my vote is definitely for the two-legged pants.

I also realize how ridiculous and hilarious it is that this is something we are still discussing after all these years... but you know what, it's 2020, and if this is something we can focus on for just a moment, I'm all for it.

What do you think? How should dogs wear pants? Leave me a Yap below to debate it!
