I just saw this on Reddit and it’s actually so cool... there’s this app called Pluck & Pass where people in your neighborhood can literally post fruit from their own backyard, like oranges, lemons, avocados, whatever, and then you can claim it or grab it.
The whole idea is that so much fruit just goes to waste every season, so instead of it rotting on someone’s tree or in someone’s yard…this is like a mini farmers market…but within your neighborhood.
You just scroll the map to see what your neighbors have posted (like lemons or avocados), and then claim or message them to pick it up.
Some people give it away for free, others charge a few bucks.
And apparently there are even other apps doing similar things where you can buy or trade homegrown produce locally, so it kind of turns your neighborhood into this little community marketplace.
And you’re supporting actual people down the street.
