Okay, this is actually really interesting... some Southern California colleges are starting to shorten the traditional four-year path, like Loma Linda University now offering a three-year bachelor’s degree.
The goal is to help students save money and graduate faster…which makes so much sense with how expensive college is getting.
They’re also hoping it helps reduce dropout rates since students can see the finish line sooner…and get them into the workforce faster.
And it’s not just one school... apparently nearly 60 colleges across the country are either already doing this or seriously considering it, because a lot of students don’t even finish in four years anyway.
So, the idea is to trim down credits, streamline the whole experience, and make college more realistic and accessible. Higher education is finally starting to adjust to how people actually live now.
