Well, this hurts my heart! Justin Chambers is leaving Grey's Anatomy after 15 years of playing Alex Karev.
In a statement to Deadline, Justin says: “There’s no good time to say goodbye to a show and character that’s defined so much of my life for the past 15 years,” Chambers said in a statement to Deadline. “For some time now, however, I have hoped to diversify my acting roles and career choices. And, as I turn 50 and am blessed with my remarkable, supportive wife and five wonderful children, now is that time.”
Here's the real kicker...according to Variety, HIS LAST EPISODE HAS ALREADY AIRED!!!
So there's no proper goodbye, Karev is just gone. I know he's at another hospital now but how are they going to work this with Jo?? And with Owen and Webber working in the same hospital as Karev? Are they just going to pretend like he doesn't exist? We'll see when Grey's returns from winter break in 2 weeks.
