Remembering RBG & Her Accomplishments Every Modern Woman Should Know

Talk about someone who set the stage for us modern women. Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg passing away really hit hard for someone I've never met before.

I’ve never experienced loss by someone I didn’t know personally that has hit me this hard. I was so inspired & encouraged & motivated by RBG & the news of her passing this weekend really got me thinking about my life & purpose.

If you haven't watched the docu "RBG" yet, I highly recommend it. In honor of "notorious R.B.G" I wanted to highlight a few of her accomplishments every modern woman should know:

RBG was nominated by President Bill Clinton in 1993 and was a pioneer when it comes to women's rights.

She graduated first in her class from Columbia Law School - all while raising her first born

She battled—and overcame—sexism personally

She was the first person on both the Harvard and Columbia law reviews

She became the second female law professor at Rutgers—and fought for equal pay

She co-founded the first law journal on women’s rights

She became the first tenured female law professor at Columbia

She co-founded the Women’s Rights Project at ACLU

She argued six cases before the Supreme Court—and won five

She became the first female Jewish Supreme Court justice

She’s one of only four females justices in history

She was the first justice to officiate a same-sex marriage

She’s the only Supreme Court Justice to become a pop culture icon and will forever be a role model for women (if you haven't seen On the Basis of Sex, I highly suggest you stream that too!)

She never slowed down. Even while battling cancer, she showed up and also fought through to build stamin with her now infamously hard workouts.
